Overview

Primary focus is to perform land functions necessary to work with land team to successfully and timely execute FourPoint development and exploitation program. Secondary focus will include land data mapping and file management, as well as title research and curative for FourPoint and LongPoint Minerals.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Landmen in the execution of FourPoint Development Program, including regulatory filings, transmitting and tracking well proposals and elections, and assisting in title research and curative.
  • Assist Landmen to track field brokers hired to obtain well location surface agreements (Location, pits, road use, water, pipeline ROW Easements), including assistance on closing and coordinating payments.
  • Responsible for the creation and maintenance of land and activity maps.
  • Assist Landmen in the tracking and oversight of field consultants for public records checks (county, state, federal and Indian) to secure ownership reports and title opinions to determine ownership of acreage and completion of curative requirements on lands in which the company plans to drill.
  • Assist Landmen in oversight of all regulatory activity, including TXRRC Rule 37 and 38 applications and OCC spacings, force poolings, increased density, location exceptions.
  • Assist Landmen, operations and field teams to initiate and secure permitting for development program.
  • Assist Landmen to track well proposals, participation elections, non-consent sharing, JOA execution, well release for drilling, casing point elections, final revenue and JIB decks handoff, Pooling Declarations and Unit (or Communitization) Agreements.
  • Assist Landmen in oversight of all OBO activities including performing all functions necessary to ensure timely election, tracking and reporting of outside operated well drilling and rework proposals.
  • Assist Landmen in the preparation of contracts for third party support agreements (Farmouts, swaps, acquisition, annexation).
  • Assist Landmen in tracking due diligence, closing and integration of third party acquisition opportunities as part of development program consolidation effort.
  • Assist in scouting competitor drilling and permit activity.
  • Assist in gathering data for internal reporting and board reporting.

Qualifications

Education, Skills and Experience Required

  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office PC programs. Minimum of 3 years related experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business
  • Strong research and organizational skills, as well as GIS mapping.
  • Ideally has knowledge of land work in a variety of oil and gas producing states (OK and TX preferred), including governmental regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects under minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 

Physical Requirements

  • Sitting, visual and mental acuity, manual dexterity, hearing, speaking.
  • Ability to work at computer for long periods of time.

Environmental Conditions

  • Works indoors in office environment. May occasionally visit field locations.
