  • Overview

    Intern will gain valuable Oil and Gas industry experience teaming up with the Land Administration and Land Departments on various projects as part of a summer long rotation including lease analysis, contract and title review, owner relations, drilling program support and A&D efforts.


    • Ability to identify, analyze, and interpret provisions in oil and gas leases and other contracts used in oil and gas operations.
    • Create and continually maintain electronic lease and contract records for all oil and gas leases and contracts acquired by FourPoint.
    • Create and maintain Division of Interests for producing properties based on Title Opinions and other pertinent information and enter into Enertia. Create and maintain physical and/or electronic lease, contract, division order and well files for all properties acquired by FourPoint Energy.
    • Maintain leasehold ownership for timely rental and or shut in payments
    • Track AFE elections by partners and establish JIB ownership based on those elections.
    • Analysis or production in paying quantities based on individual lease terms within production units.


    Education, Skills and Experience Required

    • Undergraduate or Graduate student seeking PLM, Energy Management, or Energy Law Degree.
    • Prior internship experience preferred.
    • Solid work ethic with a willingness to complete assigned tasks accurately and in a timely manner.

    Physical Requirements

    • Sitting, visual and mental acuity, manual dexterity, hearing, speaking.
    • Ability to work at computer for long periods of time.
    • Some file room filing and file building required.

    Environmental Conditions                                                                               

    • Works indoors in office environment. May occasionally visit field locations.
